Honesty is an essential foundation for personal and communal integrities --- because if we cannot trust each other to be open and honest, we cannot effectively cooperate or engage in mutually helpful collaborations. True lovers trust each other because in their sanctuary communities they know that they are safe, and they truly feel safe, in taking many risks together with each other.

True lovers graciously avoid being dragged into collusive self deception by domineering people who insist on sponsoring competitions to prove who is most domineering and most in control.

Domineering people's addictions and codependent-supporters both undermine truly intimate dialogue that is mutually informative and facilitates both learning and healthy growth.

Domineering people's unilateral efforts to achieve security are counter-productive, because they try to achieve security for themselves at other people's expense.
