Objective "truths" which we claim exist out there apart from us---in spite of the fact that they are our sweet fruits of our efforts to discover them in keeping with our paradigm's assumptions, approaches, convictions, methodology, etc. 2. Reflexive "truths" which have grown out of our own experiences---but which we do not claim as our own because to do so would make us un-safely vulnerable to the judgements and condemnations of those who might perceive our claim and report us to the "truth squads" of our communal collusive games of mutual self-deception. 3. Communal "truths" which have been generated within our collusive games of mutual self-deception and which maintain internal conflicts within us as we vainly try to integrate our reflexive truths with communal "truths" which originate in communal games of mutual self- deception. 4. Integrative truths which together we discern on our journeys in search of personal and communal integrity. 5. Truths about personal and communal disintegration which we only regretfully acknowledge after too many experiences which demonstrate and point to those truths. 6. Truths about the finite physical resources which are available to us in our solar system---which is but a tiny and resource-isolated part of the cosmos. 7. Truths about the finitude of our own physical lives as individual persons in a physical cosmos which is far more extensive in time and space than we dare to imagine. 8. Truths about the limited understandings which we have about ourselves as inter-related creatures with views of ourselves as individuals --- and as a species which casts us in very special roles within the cosmos which we do not really understand in any unbiased way. 9. Truths about our alienated relationships which flow from our unhealthy pride, arrogance, presumptions, convictions and collusive games of mutual self-deception. 10. Special truths which we maintain by being careful not to be too intimate with people whom we suspect would not help us to maintain our special truths. 11. Special truths which we maintain condemnations and excommunications of those who denied, require our special truths --- make no sense to them in terms of their own personal experiences and integrity. 12. Personal truths and knowledge about ourselves and each other which we discern only as we give and accept true gifts of security known as the freedom to be safely vulnerable in balanced ways in each other's unpretentious and intimate presence. 13. Truths which we discern only in articulating them fearlessly --- because we feel no fear in bringing them out into the open within our secure communities of love. 14. Truths which we discern without any articulations when we are together with each other in intimate ways which convey truths which we know not how to articulate. 15. Truths which we suspect may exist, but which we do not discern, (and may never discern) because they transcend our bounded abilities to discern and accept them as true. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
