Such extreme dedication cannot be maintained openly and honestly---so in keeping with the deceptive nature of a collusive blame of mutual self deception, the dedication is maintained sub- consciously; below the level of conscious critical thought. There thus must be an ultimate conflict to the death between conscious critical thought, and the sub- conscious process of sustaining the commitment to maintaining the apparent integrity of the dishonest game. The committed colluder must be willing to sacrifice ALL to the service of maintaining the apparent integrity of the collusive game of mutual self deception---including being willing to pass judgement upon self and condemn self to cosmic ex-communication from the fellowship of the saved who remain forever faithful participants in the cosmic game of collusive self deception. Participants in collusive games of mutual self deception regard themselves as gods with the power to define what is true and what is false---in the interest of maintaining the apparent integrity of their collusive game of mutual self deception. In the crazy "reality" of their dishonest game, participants in collusive games of mutual self deception also regard themselves as totally expendable---should thy slip and do, think, or feel; something which might bring down the whole fragile structure of their collusive game of mutual self deception. A collusive game of mutual self deception is a tall tale which is a fragile structure; like a sky-scraper made of playing cards set on edge. Each playing card is a carefully positioned lie, which must not look like a lie. Each player must maintain the proper appearance of many such carefully conceived and positioned lies. If any player fails to maintain proper appearances, the whole structure will collapse, and all the advantages gained by the playing of the dishonest game will be lost---with great guilt and mutual self-condemnation all the way around. It is each player's sacred duty to keep the whole dishonest structure standing, and looking wonderfully like it is worthy of ultimate respect, support and sacrifice--- and worth the endless tension, contention, conflict and violence which is engendered in keeping it so up-standing. It is inconceivable that anyone would dare to stop playing the game! No one will dare to talk about such an inconceivable possibility! Only insane people would think of doing such an insane thing! Only fools listen to such insane people! Such fools and insane people do not survive. It is best not to think about them. If we think too much about fools and insane people we may be confused by our own personal experiences and lose sight of our sacred duty to make our collusive games of mutual self deception appear to be worthy of respect and support. It is better to follow the guidance of reliable authorities who are sure of themselves---than to trust our own confused personal experiences which are not well informed by scholarly research and analysis. Non-reliable talk about merely personal experiences can be very distractive and can undermine commitments to the maintenance of our collusive games of mutual self deception. People who presume to engage in open and honest dialogue about their own merely personal experiences are not reliable; they are not worthy of respect or support. It is best to shun them. If we do not work diligently to maintain strict law and order, our community will fall apart. It is essential that we centralize power and authority in the hands of those authorities who are sure that they know what they are doing and what is good for us. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
