In the presence of a clearly articulated set of descriptions and theories about what situations, contexts, and behaviors occasion evil behavior---it may be possible to shift attention to positive considerations leading to an understanding of what situations, contexts and behaviors occasion integrative behaviors. It is helpful to honestly describe how integrative responses to evil behavior, occasion the decrease of future evil behavior. It is helpful to move the focus of attention away from evil behavior toward the recognition, naming, description and honoring of integrative responses to evil behavior which occasion the decrease of future evil behavior. Being fixated upon evil behavior tends to occasion additional evil behavior---even when the overt intention is to inhibit, prevent, control or eliminate evil behavior. We are guided by our images. If our image of evil is that of an active force, power or presence which is guided by a powerful and ever- present Devil---then we tragically seek to enter into active combat with and be in opposition to that presumably powerful evil active force; and thereby we occasion much additional alienation, estrangement, misunderstanding, resentment and many attempts by others to satisfy vengeful feelings. If our image of evil is that of lack of light, lack of knowledge, lack of familiarity, lack of love, lack of friendship, lack of affection, lack of acceptance, lack of understanding, lack of forgiveness, and lack of conflict resolution---to name a few tragic lacks; then we wisely respond to evil by seeking to shed light on situations, create knowledge, promote familiarity, nurture love, make friends, express affection, be in love, accept people, understand people, offer forgiveness and resolve conflicts---to eliminate the lacks which are the essence of evil.
