We may, or may not, ourselves consider these various kinds of realities and relationships. We may, or may not, be reflexive. At the least there are objects, elementary parts of objects, people as whole beings, other kinds of animals as whole beings; and various kinds of relationships among these kinds of realities. We may observe objects and the relationships among objects; and as people who behave as scientists, we may seek to understand the objects and their relationships in detached objective ways. We may observe objects and seek to understand the nature of objects and their inter-relationships through analysis of objects into their elementary constituent parts and into the relationships among those elementary constituent parts; as elementary particle scientists do. We may observe people as objects and seek to understand the nature of people as objects and seek to understand their inter-relationships through analysis of the people and their elementary constituent parts, and of the relationships among those elementary constituent parts; as compulsively objective social scientists do. We may observe and relate to each other as whole persons, and seek to understand each other as whole persons interacting in webs of social communities in which the parts are created by and create the contexts; as wholistic social scientists seek to do. We may focus our attention upon our sensory organs and how it is that we as whole people are aware of other people and objects in the universe, and seek to understand how we interpret our awareness of other people and objects in the universe through cognitive processes rooted in sensory data. We may become focused primarily upon our own internal considerations, and/or upon other people's own internal considerations; giving little attention to primary sensory data---as philosophers and theologians and others of their kind often do. We may become focused primarily upon how groups of people interact with each other. There are many different ways in which people focus their lives. Some people become so narrowly focused in their lives that they lose sympathetic contact with people who are quite different from themselves; they become out of touch with different people and do not respect them. Their being out of touch may be through neglect: or it may be out of a conviction that exclusivity is inherently good; if it is their kind of exclusivity. We will do well to consider whether there is any kind of exclusivity which is good in any kind of context. It may well be that all kinds of exclusivity are inherently disintegrative; evil.
