The researcher has not been trained and has not had time to become self-trained in dealing effectively with difficulties in the subjective realm; and further has been trained not to be interested in and/or concerned with such difficulties. The development of competency in dealing with subjective relationships is blocked by training to the effect that such competency should not be gained at the expense of increased competency in dealing with objective relationships. Due to human finitude there are only twenty four hours per day available to a person's activities. The hours which are spent on exclusively objective activities can in no way contribute to developing subjective maturity. To the extent that a person comes to value objective exclusively, the person fails to mature subjectively. The traditional training of scientists at the graduate school level tends to train professional scientists to value objectivity to the exclusion of valuing complementary perspectives.
