Thus technocrats tend to view sexuality in isolation, apart from a life of integrity. By reducing sexuality to an isolated activity and regarding it as nothing more than that isolated activity, they set it up for a fall, and identify it with the original sin in the mythological fall of man---and tend to blame women for the consequent problems. They label sexual relationships as sinful---and do not recognize that their labeling activities are what occasion the sin/alienation which they seek to explain. The irony of this pattern is that sexuality is an essential aspect of love which transcends alienation---yet sexuality is labeled as essentially alienative in character; i.e., sinful, promoting alienation. (Sin is the condition of being alienated, of blocked communication.) The irony is not accidental, however. The irony is occasioned by the collusions of technocrats who seek to protect their exclusive perspectives and interpretations of the nature of reality. To protect their exclusivity they must undermine the powers which tend to transcend exclusivity; i.e., love, dialogue, sexuality, affection, etc. To undermine such powers requires that they be misrepresented as dangerous, risky, untrustworthy, unlawful, evil, etc. Such misrepresentation is facilitated by sloppy thinking, ambiguous statements, over-simplifications, tangential communication, repressions, etc. Unsuspecting well-intentioned people will attack the misrepresentations and so help oppose the powers which tend to promote the transcendence of technocratic exclusivity---and thus help intensify technocracy. The transcendence of technocracy will naturally involve the reintegration of sexuality into the mainstream of human life. Sexuality will cease to be an isolated aspect of human life, and be an accepted integral part of daily humane relationships between people of integrity within communities of integrity.
