It is difficult to deal effectively with diseases so long as the relationships between dysfunctional inter-personal relationships and our disease is not recognized. It is difficult to deal effectively with ineffectual science education so long as the connection between compulsive objectivity and personal alienation is not recognized. It is difficult to deal with the disintegrations of war, so long as the connection between technocratic preoccupations and war is not recognized. It is difficult to deal with the feed-back loops of addictive cycles from generation to generation, so long as the role of dysfunctional sexual relationships within those cycles is not recognized. Each lack of recognition of intimate connections undermines our ability to cope. To communicate effectively about unrecognized connections requires the development of an effective vocabulary with which to point to the as yet unrecognized connections; often involving the development of word-pairs with which to point to related pair-concepts and realities. This in turn requires the development of indexing of our literature with which to deal with word-pairs rather than just with individual words. To facilitate finding writings which deal with connections we need computerized indexing which will make it possible to connect humans with writings pertaining to generally unrecognized connections and relationships, which must be recognized in order to be able to cope effectively with troublesome dilemmas.
