Actions are reflexive, pointing to what self regards as worthy of spending self's limited time upon. Commitments to take action are decisions which are also reflexive for similar reasons. Excommunicative judgments leading to the rejection of persons are reflexive in that they are decisions not to spend time in dialogue with persons rejected; pointing to what self regards as worthy of spending self's limited time upon. Such judgments are not objective because they have self-referential implications which motivate them. Logical conclusions drawn according to carefully reasoned trains of thought seek to avoid the wasting of time in order to facilitate efficient use of self's limited time in subsequent decisions, actions, judgments, evaluations and setting of personal priorities. In all such cases there are self-referential implications motivating the choices which are made. It is not possible to avoid bias by trying to be divorced, separated, from the focus of one's attention. Alienation does not lead to reliable knowledge, but to ignorance. Compulsive objectification thus leads to ignorance and foolishness. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
