The masses avoid conversations which revolve around the experiences and creative insights of autonomous sub-cultures. Genuine conversations would revolutionize conventional contexts---by conjuring up realistic alternatives from among which choices might be made regarding which should be actualized into new realities---in keeping with the consensus evolved through conversations. Conversations occur "with-turning" of the participants to new alternatives. Conversations are inherently revolutionary. Broadcasting systems merely send out signals. Communication systems involve two-way or multi-way sending and receiving of signals whose meanings are defined by the context created by the previous conversations. Conversations are inherently creative. Most communications are not inherently creative, regardless how essential they may be to the continued life of a community. Communications are essential to community; yet conversations should be respected and honored because new situations demand alternative ways of conceiving human integrity and dignity. They demand new contextual ways in which to perceive life as meaningful and significant. People who insist that efforts at conversation conform to the conventions of conventional communications---inhibit creativity which they do not understand and probably fear. People who are engaged in a revolutionary conversation are likely to be perceived as crazy or mad by people who are comfortable only within the context of a conventional community dominated by communications which are constrained by the conventional language and its social context. The text of the communications must be chosen from the script demanded by the context. Conversations are essential parts of the process of breaking out of a community's collusions which blind the community to possible new ways of being human in the eternal now---even in fear and trembling in the face of the shaking of the foundations of the community and its perceptions of its significance. For conversations to be genuine and promote integrity they must freely weave peoples' experiences into a meaningful whole community. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
