For this reason there are few existential communications about sin; i.e., about the personal experience of sin, communication between sinners (people whose communication is blocked) is rare. Instead of communicating in authentic dialogue, sinners tend to react to each other as objects, and treat each other as subjects of objective experimentation and analysis. The focus of their attention is the behavior which is occasioned by sin, not the existential experience of sin. Thus, sinners tend not to be emotionally honest with each other. Sin blocks emotionally honest dialogue. Sinners do not know each other emotionally, because they do not share their emotional experiences. They tend, rather, to develop manipulative coping mechanisms to deal with the objective behavior which is occasioned by mutual ignorance of each other's emotional experiences. The coping mechanisms are futile so long as the emotional ignorance is maintained by sin. In fact, the common coping mechanisms tend to promote sin. Sin is not cured by coping mechanisms such as: legalism, moralism, authoritarianism, discipline, scientism, technocracy, mysticism, capitalism, communism, socialism, extremism, modernism, futurism, conservatism, liberalism, etc. Sin is cure by promoting gradually more open dialogue about uniquely personal: experiences, emotions, desires, shame, guilt, fear, tension, hopes, aspirations, visions, fantasies, expectations, feelings, confusions, clarifications, etc. Sin is cured by promoting personal honesty about what is unique to each of us---our personal experiences. Sin is not cured by promoting any kind of conformity which blocks personal honesty about what is unique to each of us. Requirements of conformity block communications regarding our nonconformity---which is an essential aspect of our uniqueness. Thus requirements of conformity to "good" standards of behavior are a major factor in promoting sin. "Good" people become alienated from "evil" people --- and in their emotional ignorance of each other they hurt each other. Reconciliation comes through ultimately valuing honest emotional dialogue.
