Many of them seek to be selected/elected to serve in positions of influence, power, and high levels or rewards/compensation. We all will do well to observe their behaviors, actions, choices, and manners of service --- with attention to observe what they say and how they try to influence others. Do their actions match their words? Actions speak more reliably than do words spoken or written in efforts to mislead others. We will do well to keep the following kinds of questions in mind as we observe leaders' words, behaviors, actions, choices and manners of true-service and self-service. 1. Do the leaders demonstrate the virtues of true: humility, honesty, authenticity, kindness, joy, hope, civility, patience, hospitality, listening, gentleness, generosity, balance, mutuality, responsiveness, coherence, integrity, affirmations, thoughtfullness, analysis, grace and friendship? 2. Do the leaders avoid being supportive of behaviors which demonstrate and or promote: arrogance, dishonesty, pretentiousness, meanness, despair, hoplessness, contentiousness, impatience, domination, exclusivity, violence, greed, extremism, unilateralism, secretivness, combattivness, disintegration, denigrations, thoughtlessness, confusion, cynicism OR enmity? 3. What are the foci of the leaders' affirmations and enduring constructive efforts? 4. What are the foci of the leaders' oppositions and persistent denigrations?? 5. What are the characteristics of the people whom the leaders most-often work-with and who most-often support- them? 6. How do the leaders respond to and/or deal with domineering people; and what are the natural consequences of their relationships with domineering people? 7. How do the leaders frame-and-respond-to questions pertaining to personal-and-communal: integrity, integrations, evil, tolerance, intolerance, chaos, coherence, cooperation, competition, balance, mutuality, virtues, vices, health, conflicts, conflict-resolutions, peacemaking, violence, resistance, controls, laws, orders, management, rebellion, judgements, reconciliation, healing, and shalom?
