Experts' being truly free to be safely vulnerable in open and honest dialogue about all ultimate values, ideals and principles --- and about the experts' failures to fulfill their own ultimate values, ideals and principles. 2. The experts' transcendence of objectivity, collusions, religious authority, addictive traditions, perfectionism, self-righteousness, and secrecy. 3. The transcendence of almost all experts' tendencies to try to APPEAR to be expert, competent, knowledgeable, trustworthy, wise, reliable, experienced, righteous, better, superior, etc. 4. The ability to transcend the limitations of formal languages and formal dialogue which depends upon formal languages': vocabularies, grammars, syntaxes and other traditions. 5. Humility about superior levels of knowledge, experience, righteousness, creativity, originality, inter- relationships, perceptivity, dialogue, friendships, intimacy, counseling, advice, etc. 6. Discriminating between mere appearances of expertise on the one hand, and true expertise on the other hand. 7. Dealing gently, graciously, and helpfully with people of less: power, knowledge, ability, insight, know- how, authority, skill, etc. --- who presume to have more. 8. Transcending the assumption that the key to real security is the achievement of invunerability through the use of various means, tools, devices, technologies, etc. 9. Experts learning how to transcend the temptations which are peculiar to being the best experts who are around. 10. Rising above the provincialisms of the community upon which the experts must depend for respect, honor and support. These considerations are especially relevant when dealing with dyfunctionality within human relationships, friendships, intimacy, and sexuality --- including such dysfunctionalites on the part of experts. It is impossible to be objective, scientific, or perfect in coping with such dysfunctionalities --- but respected people often try to appear to be so. The following list is suggestive of a few of the dilemmas and problems which cannot readily be resolved/solved in the absence of the transcendence of many of the dilemmas and associated problems suggested above: 1. Imprudent pre-marrital sexual intercourse. 2. Teen-age pregnancies and parenting. 3. Sharing of sexual diseases; e.g., AIDS. 4. Debilitated childhoods and adolescence. 5. Mental diseases, retardation and disabilities. 6. Pornography and prostitution. 7. Dysfunctional sexuality within marriages. 8. Sexual and/or romantic addictions. 9. Abuse of sexuality within profitable advertising. 10. Sexual abuse of women and children. 11. Sexual discrimination in its various forms. 12. The population explosion 13. The depletion of limited natural resources. 14. The garbage/entropy explosion. 15. Ineffective medical care for sexual dis-eases. 16. The disintegration of religious institutions. 17. The disintegration of political institutions. 18. The disintegration of families and communities. 19. The growth of addictions and collusions. 20. The general decline of global civility.
