The point of the games is to covertly score points on one's own score-board --- and covertly remove points from other's score-boards; and to convince others of the fact that one has more points on one's own score-board than they have on their score-boards. It is difficult to win in the games for a variety of reasons: 1. One of the points of the games is to prove that one is not playing the games. Self-righteousness is the ultimate goal; but it must be achieved with humility to really count. 2. One wants to prove that one is playing the games fairly --- without admitting that one is playing the games. One cannot be proud of one's own humility while admitting that one is playing the dishonest and coercive games. 3. To win the games one must convince others that one is not playing the games --- while doing so fairly in terms of the rules which say that the games do not exist. It is difficult to score points for humility while putting more points on one's own score-board, and removing points from other people's score boards. 4. It is hard to evaluate how many positive and negative points it is fair to assign to avoiding what must be avoided --- relative to how many points it is fair to assign to doing what is required. It is hard to get agreement on relative standings --- without talking about the rules which it is taboo to talk about. You lose points for talking about the rules --- under which points are scored. 5. There is rarely agreement about how many positive and negative points are to be assign for private versus corporate behavior; private versus public behaviors; sexual versus a-sexual behaviors; religious versus secular behaviors; verbal versus non-verbal behaviors; etc. To win conflicts over point assignments is hard --- when it is taboo to talk about the rules of the games. 6. Since according to the rules of the games of self-righteousness --- the games are not being played --- it is impossible to ask for a ruling of the referee about others who are breaking the rules to gain unfair advantages. There is no referee in the games which are not being played. Each person in the games of self- righteousness is their own rule-maker, player, score- keeper, and referee --- seeking to achieve integrity and superior-self-righteousness in humble ways which are convincing to the most important person(s). The lives of players in the collusive games of self- righteousness are trying. That is why the players are so often trying and ill at ease; diseased in their prisons of self-righteousness.
