Often (immature people object) to behaviors which they are not mature enough to recognize as {truly harmless behaviors} because the behaviors threaten to expose or otherwise undermine their unjust collusive games of mutual self deception, their immaturity. They have no honest just reason for objecting to the {truly harmless behaviors}. The only reasons that they have for objection are hidden in their own immaturity. Such {truly harmless behaviors} have included. 1. Teaching that the earth turns on its axis. 2. Teaching that the Earth goes around the sun. 3. Describing the sun as having spots on it. 4. Healing sick people on the Sabbath. 5. Referring to God as one's own Father. 6. Socially associating with black people. 7. Opposing the institution of slavery. 8. Opposing salvation for sale by the church. 9. Opposing corrupt religious dictators. On the other hand often people have not objected in a timely way to behaviors which are truly disintegrative and {truly harmful behaviors} which have been motivated by people immersed in playing unjust collusive games of mutual self deception such as pretending that: 1. They are God-appointed to act as they do. 2. They are defending eternal/absolute truths. 3. All depends upon just one truth or commandment. 4. Wisdom can be found in dichotomous demands. 5. Dichotomous questions can lead to integrity. 6. Excommunications can lead to communal integrity. 7. God calls for condemnations and alienations. 8. Their institution is God-ordained and perfect. 9. Nothing is impossible for them to achieve. It is difficult to articulate in a generally accepted way the difference between {truly harmless behaviors} to which (immature people object) --- and {truly disintegrative behaviors} to which (few people object). The difficulty would be present even in the absence of collusive games of mutual self deception because the differences are: 1. Subtle and hard to articulate clearly. 2. Often buried in suggested alienative ways of responding to non-conformists --- while the focus is unfairly upon the non-conformists --- rather than upon the alienative consequences of the suggested responses. 3. Not connected to real objective consequences. 4. Engendered by fear, rather than by love. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
