The focus of attention is upon the objective elements and objective relationships in the real world out there; excluding reflexive considerations of the authors and readers. 2. The focus is upon generalizations and abstractions; not upon unique people and their experiences as unique individuals. 3. The reader has the duty to come to the text within the same paradigm as lead to the creation of the text; i.e., the writers are not obliged to try to reach anybody who is unwilling or unable to read the text within the framework of the scientists' paradigm. 4. Redundancies are eliminated as much as possible in order that each proper specialized question is answered authoritatively in one simply indexed place. The attempt is to generate authoritative texts which will thereby bring great distinction and honor to the objective scientists who wrote the text. 5. Only statements which can be verified by other objective scientists in other times and places are regarded as properly included. The search is for truths which are universally valid and can be validated by qualified objective scientists in all places and times--- with appropriate equipment and efforts. Statements indicating the proper procedures to follow to achieve such validations are appropriate to include; as are warnings regarding what mistakes need to be avoided in attempting to achieve an independent validation of the truths reported. 6. Truths which depend upon reflexive consideration of the readers' own experiences and perceptions in a subjective way are not appropriate to include except as occasional historical asides.
