If we have difficulty in distinguishing between (and/or accepting the differences between) our imaginary dramas and real life; we are likely to get frustrated when---in real life---the scenes of our real life drama do not develop as we intend/expect. If our frustration is great, and our emotional maturity is small, we may resort to disintegrative acts of violence. Our frustration in life is likely to be great if we spend more time rehearsing in our minds the scenes of our imaginary dramas than we spend in real-life human relationships ---learning the scope of our ability to influence the course of events in real-life human relationships. If we learn to feel (in extensive imaginary rehearsals) that we can be in control, we are likely to be deeply disappointed when in real life our carefully reversed drams do not play out as we planned for them to play out. Imaginary rehearsals can be useful in life --- if there is a balance between how much of a focus there is on imaginary rehearsals, and how much of a focus there is on real-life activities and our understanding of our roles as equal participants in real-life activities.
