     People  who  are committed exclusively to  objective,
quantitative,   manipulative scientific understandings and
perceptions---cannot   with  integrity   acknowledge   the
importance   of   reflexive  insights,   perceptions   and
articulations---for  to do so would be to acknowledge that
their paradigm is not as comprehensive as they pretend and
so that their exclusivity and they lack integrity.    They
cannot bear to make such open and honest admissions.

     Because  of how they exclude from their consideration
many  possible experiences,  perceptions and  realities---
exclusive  people often come to believe that they  have  a
theory  which explains everything in a fully  satisfactory
way.    (They  exclude from consideration everything which
their theory does not explain.)

     In  order  to  convince themselves  and  others  like
themselves  that they all  have integrity---they  alienate
themselves and each other  from those   people  who  truly
enjoy  personal  and  communal  integrity.   In  order  to
convince themselves that they have integrity  they  ignore
evidence   of   personal  and  communal   alienation   and
disintegration---for such  evidence  is not objective, not
quantitative,  and   is  not  the  fruit   of   controlled
experiments   entailing   a   great   deal   of   coercive
manipulation.  By being preoccupied with issues of control
many exclusive people  become  ignorant  of  most  of  the
really  important  aspects  of  life---which  they  cannot
