Such people seek to be open and honest with others as they seek to be true to themselves and others. They do not agree to go along with dishonest addicts and their codependent supporters in their collusive games of mutual self deception---refusing to become participants in such dishonest games. Dishonest addicts and their codependent supporters regard blessed peacemakers as trouble makers who cannot be trusted to conform to their standard forms of collusive dishonesty. In this sense such blessed peacemakers walk in the ways of Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified by governmental conformists at the instigation of religious conformists. Some people are cursed contentious persons who do mean to use conflicts, confusions, misunderstandings, forgetfulness, fear, terror, dishonesty, misleading behaviors, and secrecy---as violent tools in their attempts to be in control for one reason or another. Often they present their violent manipulations as being in the service of highly respectable ends---in religious wars, nationalistic wars, and efforts to maintain the status quo for the powerful people of their community. It is important that we be able to recognize, name, describe and talk openly and honestly about the differences between the blessed peacemakers and the cursed contentious persons in our communities. The former are worthy of our respect and trust; the latter are not worthy of our respect and trust. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
