To compulsively objective people subjective human perceptions are un-reliable and cannot be counted on, because subjective human perceptions cannot be counted and/or measured objectively. To such people reflexive relationships are not ultimately real. They believe that elementary objects such as electrons, protons, neutrons, quarks, etc. are the essence of being, and so of all meaningful relationships. There is a dilemma to objectivists. They sometimes become aware that people go through the objective motions of acting as if they were responding with positive emotions and interest towards the objectivists---but the acting is not convincing. The objective behaviors are there---but the behaviors do not convince the objectivist of the authenticity of the subjective/reflexive realities which the objective behaviors are intended to indicate. Objective behaviors and appearances which do not honestly indicate subjective/reflexive realities---lack integrity and thus are lacking in meaning and significance. Even compulsively objective people will sometimes recognize that some objective behaviors are not authentic---and yearn for authentic acceptance, affection and love. The essence of true intimacy which is meaningful cannot be specified by describing prescribed objective behaviors. This is one of the many reasons that prescriptive ethics and moral codes fall short of facilitating the development of people and communities which enjoy both personal and communal integrity. In fact, often prescriptive systems which try to articulate standards by which to judge the difference between "good people" and "evil people" lead tragically to a great deal of human alienation, misunderstanding, confusion and tragically misguided attempts to perfect humans, their behaviors, and their relationships.
