     It  is difficult for scientists who have been trained
to be nearly exclusively objective  to  take seriously any
reflexive considerations  and  articulations which are not
objective in nature.   It is  even more difficult for such
scientists to take seriously articulations which appear to
be   objective   statements---but   which   are   mythical
statements about reflexive  relationships  and  realities.
Such  mythical  statements  are  attempts  to  communicate
ideals,   values,  attitudes,  assumptions,   beliefs  and
convictions  about what  is essential to lives of personal
and communal integrity.    They  are often associated with
prescriptions,   proscriptions,    taboos,    manipulative
behaviors and collusive  games  of  mutual self deception.
