The power of collusions, addictions and codependence to undermine peoples' integrity depends upon their power to keep people from having, owning and sharing honest reflexive insights into their own experiences. The foundation of all reflexive insight and truth is to be found in privately reflecting upon our own experiences. If we are not free to honestly reflect in private upon our own experiences; then we are not free in any meaningful sense, and cannot know the truth in any meaningful sense. If all our reflections are dominated by what other people say, think and do; we are surely participants in collusive, addictive and codependent patterns of disintegration. If we are not free to be honest with ourselves about what is most unquestionably our own, we cannot be honest with others about anything which is really important to us or to them. We are then reduced to being honest about only unimportant technical details; and being misleading about all important matters. Meaningful honesty is rooted in private honest reflection, meditation, prayer, etc. Children should be taught to engage in private honest reflection, meditation, prayer, etc. Only with skills learned there can they defend themselves against our many collusions, addictions and codependent patterns of attitudes, emotions, thought and behavior. Collusions, addictions and codependent support networks are threatened by private reflexive honesty; and so they all work to minimize private reflexive honesty. The threat may be minimized by keeping children from ever learning of the importance of private reflexive honesty; enslaving them to group-think, group-feel and group-action to keep them from having new insights which might involve recognizing the essential misleading behaviors and "truths" of the collusion, addiction or codependent supportive network. Their prayer life must be carefully directed! Young people can be prevented from engaging in private reflexive honesty by keeping them constantly busy with technical considerations which are perceived as being of great importance and communal value. Technical education is thus a useful tool of collusions, addictions, and codependent support networks. In a technocratic society, education is turned into technical training which masks itself as education and obscures the difference; and focuses upon keeping students from engaging in private reflexive honesty. There must never be time for students to reflect honestly upon their own experiences, and such reflections must be treated as of so little importance as to be unworthy of time and discussion; technical issues are of far more importance. Training which is masked as education thus focuses exclusively upon technical issues; never upon private personal reflection which might threaten the collusions, addictions and codependent support network of those who have power.
