Meaningful contexts can take many forms. A context may be a loving tone in a home setting, a school classroom, a work-place, or a market-place. A context may be an intellectual unity in a way of understanding; a unity which does not offend or do violence to affective sensitivities and/or needs. A context may be a community which offers individuals the opportunity to be themselves and fulfill their unique potentials within honest dialogue with each other. A context may be created by the shapes, lines, tones, colors, smells, sounds, and lights of a community; its homes, buildings, streets, market-places, transport system, schools, walkways parks, etc. A context may be created by the balance between manufactured goods, air, water, plants, and animals which serve as an environment for human life. We become the individuals we are within contexts in a dynamic interplay with the contexts within which we chooses create, find, discover, receive, reject, etc. We need a balanced perception of our own development and the development of the contexts which occasion our development. It is risky to be blind to the dynamic feed- back loops which operate between contexts, individuals communities, ideals, goals, moods, temperaments, fears, hopes, aspirations, collusions, taboos. etc. To regard any aspect of the whole as the essence of the whole---is to become blind to the whole with its integrity---and so to become blind to integrity within whole contexts.
