Pre- adolescent and the adolescent persons often form cliques which are defined as much by who is left out---as by who is included. The exclusive relations do not stop with those who are left out. Those who are within the clique find themselves the victims of their mutual exclusions of possibilities. There are certain things which "we all do". Certain questions are not asked, and so new possibilities are excluded. The character of such relationships are essentially exclusive. Some parents send their adolescent and post- adolescent children to exclusive schools where the exclusive process is continued, if not intensified. The schools are best known for the kind of persons who are kept out and/or drop out because of mismatch. The less exclusive schools are structured internally along departmental lines in programs which are intramurally exclusive. On the part of the students there are often exclusive social organizations which carry on the tradition. On the part of the faculty the academic departments tend to be defined by the kinds of considerations which are not designed for the participants in the programs. The students who participate in one particular program find they are expected to be a certain kind of-person. There are certain things which "we don't do". There are certain things which "we all do". In these communications exclusive channels of communication are used, many of which do not make any essential use of words. The social life of students progresses to higher levels of exclusiveness, often reaching its consumption in exclusive marriages. Given the sequence of training programs in exclusiveness, it is a natural consequence that young people "grow up" to form exclusive marriages rather than open marriages --- and so they reproduce in body and spirit the exclusive technocratic society which gave them birth. Only a miracle can break the sequence of cause and effect in which exclusive relationships cause people to cease to live, and through such deaths give birth to a repetition of the cycle of exclusive relationships.
