Some of the different ways of embedding-our-major-concerns include: 1. Telling epic stories about heroes of our golden ages; orally, in poems, in songs, in written forms, in plays, in movies, in operas, etc. 2. Maintaining myths about gods in some heavenly realm to whom and to which we are tied in mysterious ways. 3. Creating a regulatory system of civil laws, courts, police, and punishments --- to maintain law and order against the evil-threats-of-chaos. 4. Maintaining religious traditions which affirm and/or denigrate particular: scriptures, rituals, life- styles, assemblies, governace-systems, leaders, events, wars, relationships, patterns-of-conformity, etc. 5. Maintaining clarity about patterns of virtues which bear sweek-fruits, and contrasting patterns of vices which bear bitter-fruits --- of integrations/integrities versus dis-integrations/chaos. 6. Intentionally building and graciously maintaining sanctuaries within which all people who wish to participate are welcome to share honestly their life- stories and faith-journies within intimate relationships which entail both safety and mutual patterns of vulnerability. 7. Regularly celebrating the powers of the Myth of Redemptive Violence and Coercion; through: stories, battles, conflicts, contentiousness, competitions, rewarding-winners, punishing-losers, wars, preparations- for-wars, celebrations of past victories, mourning past losses, honoring-war-veterans, movies, balads, poetry, art, computer-games, military-service, military- industrial-complexes, profitable-war-corporations, etc. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
