Wink wrote: "Almost every sentence Jesus uttered was an indictment of The Domination System or the disclosure of an alternative to it." (page 84) 1. Jesus associated with, healed, touched, ate-with and affirmed the outcast-victims-of-domination: women and children who were owned by men; impure people due to sickness and/or disobedience of men's-laws; slaves, foreigners, and people of other religious beliefs. 2. Jesus repudiated every premise of The Domination System, not just the superficial manifestations of It; e.g., challenging the power of the wealthy and powerful to dominate the weak and poor. 3. Jesus called for equity and distributive-justice which undermines the foundations of class distinctions. 4. Jesus repudiated the use of violence and the abuse of women and children who are vulnerable. 5. Jesus repudiated traditional standards for purity and holiness as encoded in written laws and traditions. 6. Jesus challenged the rights of males to dominate women and children in family life. 7. Jesus repudiated laws and commandments as being of ultimate importance, and subverted the profitable- economies of the traditions of blood-sacrifices which favored-the-wealthy. (c) 2005 by Paul A. Smith in (On Being Yourself, Whole and Healthy) ==========================================================
