It helps to remember the following considerations: 1. True-Lovers are dedicated to facilitating and promoting both personal and communal integrities --- rather than conformity. 2. Conformity is not the essence of integrity. 3. There are many diverse ways in which people can demonstrate personal and communal integrity, health, well- being, etc. 4. The legitimate exercise of authority to enforce legitimate laws, rules, regulations, prescriptions, proscriptions, etc. --- will facilitate and promote both personal and communal integrities --- while leaving different people(s) free to be honestly-different as they also work to facilitate and promote both personal and communal integrities in their own unique ways. 5. Evil resides within-RELATIONSHIPS of estrangement, alienation, excommunication, animosity, contentiousness, etc. --- rather than within-INDIVIDUALS who are participants within such-RELATIONSHIPS. 6. Evil which resides within-RELATIONSHIPS cannot unilaterally be reduced, removed, eliminated, mitigated, or "treated" so as to facilitate and promote both personal and communal integrities. 7. Legitimate-authority is NOT based upon the concentration of power to unilaterally impose the will of some people upon other people --- in the absence of mutual understanding and cooperation. 8. Legitimate-authority is based upon members of a community being committed to facilitate and cooperatively promote many kinds of personal and communal integrities --- rather than any ideal FORM of FORMal conFORMity/FORMality. 9. All forms of integrity entail open and honest communications which flow freely in the absence of coercion, violence, and domination. 10. Domineering people cannot AS SUCH facilitate or promote either personal or communal forms of integrity; because their patterns of behavior undermine/inhibit open and honest communications. 11. The proper tools/means for facilitating and promoting both personal and communal forms of integrities --- cannot be readily used by domineering people in their kinds of disintegrative works. 12. People-of-integrity behave in coherent ways all of the time; not in contrasting ways which lack coherence in different times and places. Their dedications to facilitating and promoting both personal and communal kinds of integrities are evident in all of their kind behaviors. 13. Domineering people behave in incoherent ways which demonstrate arrogance, self-righteousness, coercion, violence, etc. and so facilitate and promote personal and communal disintegrations --- in the absence of communications and dialogue which are open, honest and kind. 14. To recognize domineering people reliably we need to remember that domineering people are not always selfish. They will on occasion be willing to sacrifice their own personal and communal integrities in the service of "The Domination System" and/or its declared "good": purposes, causes, goals, ideals, values, principles, etc. However, their first choice often is to sacrifice the personal and communal integrities of OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE VULNERABLE and/or willing to sacrifice their own personal and communal integrities for certain recommended: purposes, causes, goals, ideals, values, principles, etc. (c) 2005 by Paul A. Smith in (On Being Yourself, Whole and Healthy) ==========================================================
