Are we to trust: reason, myths, science, us, them, authorities, experience, desires, rules, prescriptions, proscriptions, emotions, logic, intuition, love, sex, inhibitions, liberation, traditions, exclusivity, inclusivity, . . . ? 1. People who seek to concentrate power into the hands of any small group of people are suspect; for power corrupts and the more concentrated power becomes the more likely it is to corrupt those in whom the power is concentrated. 2. For the above reasons people who tend to be exclusive are UNLIKELY to prove themselves to be trustworthy. Unworthy people are likely to be: exclusive, greedy, fearful, power-hungry, domineering, defensive, insecure, suspicious, secretive, ego-centric, self-centered, etc.; because these traits are associated with each other in people who lack integrity. 3. Put in more positive terms trustworthy people are: civil, gracious, hospitable, good-hosts, out-going, kind, gentle, generous, inclusive, power-sharers, hopeful, relaxed, thoughtful, humble, etc.; because these traits are associated with each other in the lives of healthy people who work to promote healthy relationships and communities in inclusive ways. 4. Trustworthy people invite and welcome poor and unhealthy people into healthy communities where healing of old wounds and fears is the business of the healthy communities. Trustworthy people do not take advantage of poor and unhealthy people's points of vulnerability. 5. Trustworthy people work intentionally to create sanctuary communities --- into which all different kinds of people are welcomed, their fears mitigated, their dysfunctional relationships healed, and their integrities augmented. 6. Trustworthy people are NOT EXCLUSIVE because they are in the the business of integration of diverse peoples and their: ideas, ideals, values and principles --- into coherent demonstrations of both personal and communal integrity. 7. Trustworthy people are tolerant of diversity --- because only through the integration of diverse and complementary elements --- can coherent whole integrities be demonstrated in reliable and trustworthy ways. 8. Trustworthy people mitigate fears, defenses, and distrust --- by being people of integrity working to build up communities which demonstrate communal integrity. In revolutionary times it is important to teach fearful people how to recognize and become familiar with trustworthy people --- and to work cooperatively and creatively to facilitate and promote both personal and communal integrities in sanctuaries which are open to all. Many revolutionary times are dominated by conflicts between domineering people who are NOT TRUSTWORTHY because they seek to concentrate power into the hands of a few exclusive people who are: greedy, fearful, power-hungry, defensive, insecure, suspicious, secretive, ego-centric, self-centered, etc. Trustworthy people in revolutionary times seek to mitigate such unreliable tendencies in gracious ways.
