Dysfunctional communities often engage in collusive games of mutual self-deception --- pretending that they are not, what they are: and that they are, what they are not. Communities which play collusive games of mutual self deception cannot: 1. Learn from their own or their enemies' mistakes; for the mistakes are concealed by their collusive dishonesty. 2. Deal with environmental changes --- because of collusive convictions that all that is important is eternal; thus dealing with change is not important. 3. Understand how different languages articulate common truths in ways which threaten their own collusions. 4. Come to mutual understandings which transcend the differences in the ways in which different languages communicate common truths which threaten collusions. 5. Enjoy the fruits of creative people who develop new ways of cooperating with different people --- who challenge conventional/traditional wisdom and skepticism. 6. Cooperate in successful common ventures with different people whom they have demonized because of their complementary ideas, ideals, values and principles. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
