     Too  often religious evangelists have been  coercive,                                                                     
violent and arrogant in their efforts to promote their own           
versions of what is true,  right,  and righteous.    Their       
evangelism has often been geared to counting souls "saved"                                                                     
in  order  to heighten their grounds for  pride  in  their                                                                     
stories  of success.    They have shown little interest in                   
promoting  open  and honest dialogue with those  poor  and                                                                  
weak  people whom they have sought to "save"   from  their                                                                    
lesser  status in life.   Are there good things  which are                                                                     
achieved through coercion,  violence  and  arrogance?  Are           
their good things worth the price  paid in human suffering                                            
and alienation?     Do the people who pay the price  enjoy                                        
the benefits of paying the price?    Do they pay the price
