Denial of the possibility of any existence of personal or communal integrity; and so a refusal to deal with such a reality. 2. Acceptance of the possibility of the existence of personal and communal integrity; but denial that in fact any such reality does in fact exist. 3. Acceptance that in fact personal or communal integrity does exist; but disinterest in being aware of or interested in the existence of personal or communal integrity. 4. Begrudging awareness of the existence of personal or communal integrity; but with a persistent yearning not to be confronted with such an existence. 5. Learning to recognize the desirability of personal and communal integrity; with increasing appreciation for all that they might mean. 6. Learning to seek honesty and integrity as essential to personal and communal fulfillment. 7. Enjoying the benefits of having become familiar with personal and communal integrity. 8. Being aware of ways in which to undermine personal and communal integrity in order to advance one's own cause---or to advance the cause of one's own group or dearest one(s). We may be interested in other people as tools which we may use to advance our own interests, cause, program or project. We may carefully avoid any interest in the integrity of other persons and communities---so as not to be embarrassed by them. We may be interested in understanding the integrity of other persons and communities---for various reasons: We may be interested in supporting and promoting the integrity of other persons and communities. We may be interested in undermining the integrity of other persons and communities. Our own enjoyment of personal and communal integrity depends critically upon how we focus our attention, efforts and resources in regards to our own integrity and the integrity of other people/communities.
