Within our collusive games of mutual self deception we pool our skills in the service of foolish fears---to devise ways to avoid/repress/pervert/confuse/forget the truths which would undermine our collusive games of mutual self deception. The challenge is too great for us to deal with it individually; so we work cooperatively. To recover from our collusive games of mutual self deception we need to seek ways to recognize, name and talk about how foolishly clever we have been in undermining our own personal and communal integrity. Because our collusions are clever games of mutual self deception we need to be clever in seeking how to distinguish between efforts to promote both personal and communal integrity---and disintegrative fearful efforts to avoid/repress/pervert/confuse/forget the truths which would undermine our fear-full collusive games of mutual self deception. Recognizing, naming and talking about such distinctions will violate the sacred rules of our disintegrative collusions. Can it make sense to avoid, repress, pervert, confuse and/or forget our own awareness of own experiences? If we cannot be honest about our own awareness of our own experiences---then about what else can we be honest? If we cannot talk about our own awareness of our own experiences---then about what else can we talk? If we cannot be clear about our own awareness of our own experiences---then about what else can we be clear? If we cannot remember our own awareness of our own experiences---then what else can we hope to remember? What authority, power, institution, organization, professional or supervisor can reasonably suggest, request or demand that we avoid, repress, pervert, confuse and/or forget our own awareness of our own experiences? None! What if attending to, recovering, clarifying and remembering our own awareness of our own experiences---and talking openly and honestly about them threatens our own or other people's collusive games of mutual self deception? Then we will be able to transcend our collusions' disintegrative consequences through honest cooperative efforts! Wouldn't that be wonderful! We need to suspect our motives and other people's motives when we are driven, motivated and guided to avoid, repress, pervert, confuse and forget how we have seen, heard, tasted, smelled, felt---and how we have responded to our experiences in each other's presence. We need to recognize, name, describe and talk about perverse fears which drive, motivate and guide us to make disintegrative assumptions, attitudes, ideals, values and principles look respectable. If we cannot see the difference between wise distinctions and fearful confusion; and we cannot tell each other what we see to be the difference between wise distinctions and fearful confusion---we are in a hopeless situation and in great need of a miracle!
