If we are trying to be in control of all that makes a great difference to us; we try to control love, affection and acceptance. Yet we discover, much to our frustration, that when we try to control love, affection and acceptance; they cease to mean very much to us. By then, however, we have forgotten how to let them mean a great deal to us; and we persist in our futile efforts to be in control to acquire meaning, satisfaction, joy, enjoyment and happiness. We cannot let go of our perverted technical paradigm with all of its fixes and fixations. Thus we are imprisoned with all our technologies, fixes and fixations; pretending that they mean a great deal to us, when they do not. In our frustration we use/express our technologies, fixes and fixations in violent self-destructive ways; and we lose our personal and communal integrity. Our society has become a technocratic, addictive, codependent society imprisoned in collusive games of institutionalized mutual self deception. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
