In these ways we often come to be out of touch with our bodies; both figuratively and literally. We become less and less rooted in the physical world in which our bodies exist, and more and more preoccupied with the worlds which we have created in our fearful imaginations. In our fearful imaginations we are the gods of the universes of our disparate imaginations, and fearful of each other in those universes; because we are out of touch with each other. We think in our detached ways that we are powerful; yet we cannot know each other intimately because we cannot honestly touch each other for fear of violating the hidden rules of our collusive games of mutual self deception. We need to examine the logics of our carefully crafted collusive systems, and consider the personally and communally disintegrative consequences of our systems. We need to decide if those disintegrative consequences are what (in the depths of our being) we truly want for ourselves and for each other. If not, we need to listen to the ground of our being, and be true to ourselves and to each other. This will no doubt involve getting honestly back in touch with ourselves and with each other.
