It is an entirely different thing to regard your self as being a mistake, and being incapable of learning from any mistakes made. To regard your self as essentially a mistake puts you in your own prison, and leads you to own that prison, and to regard it as your home. Only God can rescue you from your own prison, and then only if you give God the key to let you out. The key to getting out of your own prison is to let God or one of God's servants use your key to let you out. You must trust another to use your key to let you out. Without trust and risk there is no release. The key which will let you out of your prison is your acknowledgement that you cannot do it yourself, and that you are willing to accept your being accepted while you are still in prison, needing outside help to help you get out of your prison. So long as you insist that you will get yourself out of your prison on your own without outside help, before you will let anyone accept you as you are, so long you are locked in your prison with the key in your hand, and with the lock reachable only from the outside. Insisting on letting yourself out of your own prison is a tragic mistake, but even that tragic mistake is not the same thing as being a mistake. Until you learn that you cannot let yourself out of your own prison, and learn to let somebody else release you from your own prison by accepting you as you are---you will remain in your own prison unable to learn from your BIG MISTAKE, or from the many little mistakes to which it leads.
