ESSAYS RARELY HELP US IDENTIFY EVIL PEOPLE OR GROUPS FOR ATTACK.

True! The essays offered here rarely help US identify evil people or groups for attack, becauase doing so augments evil RELATIONSHIPS --- which we need to heal and mitigate --- to become civilized; i.e., to repent and become civil within OUR RELATIONSHIPS.

Attempts to reliably identify evil people or groups for attack --- are tragically simplistic and misguided! No good come from them! Such attempts augment: alienation, estrangement, annimosity, distrust, arrogance, self-righteousness, hubris, polarization, dichotomization, contentiousness, etc.

The roots of all evil are fed within dysfunctional-evil-RELATIONSHIPS. No good comes from labeling any isolated individuals or groups as being inherently evil or containing evil within them in isolation.

"Evil" is a word which points to dysfunctional RELATIONSHIPS characterized by: alienation, estrangement, annimosity, distrust, arrogance, self-righteousness, hubris, polarization, dichotomization, contentiousness, etc. All evil is rooted in such dysfunctional RELATIONSHIPS.

To do any good we need to recognize OUR RELATIONSHIPS which are dysfunctional --- and to focus upon healing OUR RELATIONSHIPS which are dysfunctional. We cannot heal other people's RELATIONSHIPS within which we are not participants; for such RELATIONSHIPS are not OURS! Such RELATIONSHIPS do not belong to US and so are NOT-OURS-TO-CHANGE. We have no power nor right to change any RELATIONSHIPS within which we are NOT significant participants.

When our creations of new RELATIONSHIPS and/or entry into existing RELATIONSHIPS entail demonstrations of: alienation, estrangement, annimosity, distrust, arrogance, self-righteousness, hubris, polarization, dichotomization, contentiousness, etc. --- we thereby AUGMENT EVIL RELATIONSHIPS that are OURS. We need to MITIGATE OUR RELATIONSHIPS through: repentance, humility, confessions, requests-for-forgiveness, honesty, openness, dialogue, hospitality, generosity, distributive-justice, cooperation, colaboration, grace, agape, and working as True-Lovers in the Ways-of-Shalom.
