The TRAPS may not have been intentionally set by anybody; they can exist in the nature of the human condition. TRAPS can exist in the sense that it is much easier to get into the TRAPS than to get out of the TRAPS. The consequences of entering into a TRAP can be that doing so engenders: Alienation, Confusion, Prejudices, Biases, Ignorance, Despair, Depression, Arrogance, Self- Righteousness, etc. The process of entering a TRAP may entail one or more of the following: 1. Making unfounded/unexamined assumptions. 2. Adopting some operational attitudes. 3. Accepting desires and expectations as proper. 4. Committing to trust particular leaders/ideals. 5. Pledging loyalty to particular leaders/ideals. 6. Adopting some perspective/point-of-view. 7. Turning-Off critical reasoning powers. 8. Becoming fatalistic and/or hopeless. 9. Trusting some popular polarization process. 10. Trusting dichotomous ways of framing questions. 11. Joining a Team Playing Collusive Games of MSD. 12. Joining an Addictive/Codependent Network-Process. 13. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Integrity. 14. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Honesty. 15. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Coherence. 16. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Balances. 17. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Shalom. 18. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Reverence. 19. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Tolerance. 20. Agreeing to Sacrifice Personal/Communal Dialogues. It is difficult to reverse the above agreements! Be Graciously-Together in the Many-Ways-of-Shalom. (c) 2006 by Paul A.
