CONTENTIOUS-PEOPLE keep people in-tension by demanding that vulnerable-people agree with mis-leading statements of "fact", "belief" and/or "doctrine" which: 1. Are incoherent; i.e., do not hang-together. 2. Lack integrity with supportive evidence. 3. Demand the acceptance of dishonest-living. 4. Generate alienation, anger and distrust. 5. Presume the acceptance of false cosmologies. 6. Demand acceptance of false/incoherent myths. 7. Mislead people into alienative relationships. 8. Sacrifice personal and communal integrities. 9. Lead to imbalanced/extremists' behaviors. 10. Promote fears, doubts and uncertainties. 11. Denigrate the authority of our experiences. 12. Denigrate the authority of our discernments. 13. Try to DOMINATE/CONTROL many people's thoughts, desires, hopes, communications, aspirations, ambitions, motivations, fears, perceptions, dreams, visions, dialogues and personal/communal relationships/prayers. The above considerations suggest how dangerous it is to trust contentious/domineering people to hold positions of formal leadership in our businesses, political offices and religious organizations. It is dangerous to nominate, honor and/or elect such persons to positions where business, political and/or religious powers are concentrated. Such people are prone to corrupt themselves and each other by concentrating wealth, possessions and powers into the hands of contentious and domineering people; and to promote preparations for battles and wars against the people whom they have labelled as evil-enemies --- without first really knowing them as individual people or communities with their own distinctive kinds of integrities.
