The formulators of the laws may not understand human nature and/or the circumstances which may occur in the future, and so formulate laws which are unsuited to humans in the future. All laws are "used" at a time which is future to when they were formulated. 2. The formulators of the laws may impose them upon people who had no opportunity to make input into the formulation of the laws; e.g., imposed by coercion and/or violence upon unwilling victims. 3. The formulators of the laws may be domineering people who in subtle ways impose their will upon people who only appear to have had the opportunity to have input into the process of formulating laws. 4. The belief system of the formulators of the laws may be totally different from the belief system of the people upon whom the laws are imposed; e.g., across a divide having to do with language, culture, religion and/or education. 5. Cultural, religious, scientific, military, and other kinds of revolutions may occur between the formulation of laws, and the occasions when they are "used" and/or abused. 6. The people who are given the job of "policing" the violations of laws --- may have hidden agendas, motivations, special-interests, etc. --- and violate the integrities of innocent victims of police- actions. 7. The people who decide to "prosecute" arrested people --- may have hidden agendas, motivations, special-interests, etc. --- and violate the integrities of innocent victims of police-actions. 8. The people who actually "prosecute" those who are brought to trial --- may have hidden agendas, motivations, special-interests, etc. --- and violate the integrities of innocent victims of police-actions. 9. The people who serve as judges/jurors --- may have hidden agendas, motivations, special-interests, etc. --- and violate the integrities of innocent victims of police-actions. 10. The people whose job it is to impose punishments --- may have hidden agendas, motivations, special- interests, etc. --- and violate the integrities of innocent victims of police-actions. It is not enough to desire to make things "better" through the use of "good" laws. It is much more complicated than that! (c) 2005 by Paul A.
