"The Domination System" and its loyal servants work contentiously/constantly to keep us busy DEFENDING ourselves against all kinds of threats --- which we INSTEAD need to transcend, understand, subvert, and graciously mitigate. DEFENSIVE measures put other people ON GUARD --- and lead them to be CONTENTIOUS ---in keeping with the plan of "The Domination System" --- to convert all peacemakers into loyal supporters of "The Domination System" who work as domineering people who are sure that they are right and righteous; and other people are wrong and evil. People who are constantly preparing for war cannot feel good about themselves --- if all of their preparations turn out to have been unnecessary. Starting a war is the best way of proving that all of the preparations were necessary. The enemy will prove that the preparations were necessary, by opposing righteous attacks designed to dominate the enemy and block the fulfillment of the evil intentions of the enemy --- which we have reliably discerned in advance through our refinements of our paranoia.
