The existence of diversity among humans can be avoided only through the playing of collusive (dishonest) games of mutual self deception. People who pretend that they can ignore human diversity with integrity, are most likely playing collusive games of mutual self deception; i.e., they are lacking in both personal and communal integrity. They are likely to be involved in the following kinds of behaviors: 1. Making various forms of conformity mandatory; i.e., pretending to be different from what they really are --- being different in a required way, rather than in an authentic way. 2. Making use of coercion and/or violence to enforce conformity and/or tacit rules of collusive games of mutual self deception. 3. Engaging in contentious relationships with people who are "improperly different" --- in ways which domineering people say should NOT be permitted. 4. Stifling creativity in responding to new and different situations --- responding in ways which are appropriate to how they as persons are "different"; but in ways which domineering people say (or imply) should NOT be permitted. 5. Requiring symbolic actions of obedience in response to arbitrary, prejudicial and/or capricious demands --- demands which are not related to meeting the real needs of people who lack the basic essentials for healthy living. The significance, meaning and consequences of any human action/communication depends upon all of the following, and perhaps more, considerations: 1. Their overt objective aspects; 2. Their tacitly understood subjective aspects; 3. Their communal, cultural, religious, business and political aspects; 4. The principalities, powers, spirits, and angels which guide/motivate them; 5. Whatever addictive, codependent and collusive aspects may be involved; 6. Whatever objective consequences flow naturally from them; 7. Whatever symbolic meaning diverse people may assign to them; 8. The mythic/cosmic contexts within which diverse people perceive them; 9. The contentious conflicts which the actions and/or communications are seen as embedded within. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
