There is no general agreement about what communities should and/or can do in response to human tendencies towards: contentiousness, domination, coercion, arrogance, self-righteousness, pretentiousness, misleading, seduction, deception, mis-understandings, mis-interpretations, ignorance, collusions, addictions, codependence, etc. The LATTER tendencies often entail subtle differences of "degree". As a result --- alienation, estrangement, excommunications, misunderstandings, and distrust increase --- rather than decrease. Great concentrations of power often make matters worse, rather than better. Just-wars are virtually never experienced as just by those who just lose their integrities; everything of value to them. Violence begets violence through: alienation, estrangement, excommunication, misunderstandings, ignorance, distrust, anger and revenge.
