Addictions 2. Codependencies 3. Coercions 4. Rebellions 5. Collusions 6. Idolatries 7. Arrogance 8. Self-Righteousness 9. Dictatorships 10. Political-corruption Healing the above dysfunctional features of communal lives entails the participants and victims cooperating in efforts to be honest with each other regarding how and why the features evolved and endured. Such cooperation may WELL ENTAIL: 1. Addicts acknowledging to themselves and each other how they have been dishonest with themselves, each other, and their codependent supporters. 2. Codependent supporters acknowledging to themselves, each other, and their addictive partners --- how they have been dishonest about: themselves, their foci of addiction, each other, and other inter-connected foci of dysfunctional behaviors. 3. Coercive and rebellious people acknowledging to themselves and each other --- how their coercive and rebellious ways have NOT be gracious, open, honest, or helpful --- when they might have been more so. 4. Collusive and idolatrous people acknowledging to themselves and each other --- how and why they have been dishonest with themselves and each other about how they have worshipped their own idols to the denigration of each other's complementary talents, skills, ideals, ideas, values, principles, and potentials which are different; and NOT mutually exclusive. 5. Arrogant and self-righteous people who acknowledge that they have not been honest about how interdependent they are with people who have been far more open, honest, and authentic --- than they have been with each other --- and with others who have been far more open, honest, and authentic than they have been. 6. Dictatorial concentrators of unchecked power acknowledgement: that concentrations of power have led into patterns of corruption and into the dysfunctional features of communal lives which are woven together as an imprisoning fabric; into Gordian knots which isolate dishonest people/victims from themselves and each other. Each healing processes will entail people acknowledging that they have worshipped false: gods, ideals, ideas, values, and principles --- pretending that they merited ultimate concern, adoration, worship, sacrifice, and protection --- as gods that have been the grounds of them being as they have been in the past. The healing process will entail letting go of what is past, and cooperating together in building new relationships and communities which will be celebrated with both personal and communal integrity --- long into a better future which is open and honest about the past, the present, and the possible futures which may yet come to be with integrity. Letting go of the terrifyingly familiar past is often very difficult --- because the unknown future is often terrifying beyond imagination to those who are insecure and defensive. The unknown future is bound to entail recognitions and acknowledgments of how defective the gods and idols of the past actually were --- horrible herisies past perspectives of the past leaders who were so comfortable with many special privileges and powers in the past --- yet insecure in the enjoyment of those special privileges and powers. People who envision and dream of relationships and communities which are free of the dysfunctional features of current communal lives --- are often excommunicated by powerful leaders who do not want to be troubled by such unimaginable visions, dreams and healthy relationships; and so controllers alienate themselves from those people whom they seek to control --- to better perform conformity rituals.
