Honoring the most coercive/dominant people. 2. Drawing sharp lines which must not be crossed. 3. Agreeing on just where to draw sharp lines. 4. Agreeing who will police the sharp lines. 5. Agreeing on punishments for crossing the lines. 6. Agreeing on punishment for getting too close. 7. Often sacrificing personal/communal integrity. 8. Always thinking in either/or, right/wrong terms. 9. Avoiding interdependence as too vulnerable. 10. Always being independent; i.e., secure alone. The dangerous path from believing in "The Domination System" to believing in Love --- entails moving closer to such unthinkable things as: 1. Honoring people involved in intimate relations. 2. Not drawing sharp lines anywhere for any reason. 3. Being in dialogue with "different" people. 4. Losing the job of policing people's attitudes. 5. Not being able to lord-it-over weak peoples. 6. Openly and honestly dealing with ambiguities. 7. Letting go of absolute truths/certainties. 8. Honestly dealing with complex relationships. 9. Enjoying safe vulnerability as true security. 10. Accepting interdependency as a good thing. Traditional paradigms often maintain routines and habits --- under which learning and growth are taboo. There are few learning-organizations, because communal and personal invisible- organizational-structures --- lead everyone to think that someone-else-is-at-fault; blinding everyone to how the invisible- structures tragically mislead all --- to how they are contributing to the consequences which they all suffer --- without understanding what unseen-structures are behind the dysfunctionality.
