We also need to beware of worshiping ideal means --- without concern about where such worship is likely to lead. For a community to demonstrate both personal and communal integrity, the community as a whole must show concern about protecting the rights of the individual members of the community. The members of the community must also help the community as a whole to set priorities in regards to choosing goals, and choosing non-abusive means. A community cannot enjoy both personal and communal integrities in the absence of regular personal and communal work on providing, defending and facilitating rights and freedoms such as those suggested below: 1. Freedoms from ignorance, confusion, bias, prejudice, coercion, violence, and domination. 2. The freedom to be creatively different in ways which affirm many complementary ideals, values, and principles. 3. Freedom from bullies who are arrogant and self- righteous as leaders, rulers, and dictators. 4. Freedom to engage in open and honest communications and dialogue about personal experiences, perceptions, hopes, aspirations, fears, and desires. 5. Freedoms pertaining to privacy, association, petition for redress of grievances, self governance and due process. 6. Freedom from the use of secrecy, deception, dishonesty, addictions, collusions, codependents, and harmful technologies --- as means for bullies to achieve their unilaterally chosen goals, at the expense of vulnerable victims. 7. Freedom from the unilateral concentration of some people's unbalanced powers and advantages --- at the expense of other people who are poor, ignorant, confused, hungry, homeless, sick, alienated, isolated and otherwise unusually vulnerable. 8. Freedom from Systemic Domination Systems which concentrate the Powers That Be into the hands of elite and/or exclusive groups of: people, institutions, traditions, laws, formalities, rituals, businesses, religions, professions and systems of government.
