     Healthy people of integrity use technologies as tools
to promote personal and communal integrity.

     Technocrats  celebrate  technologies  as  worthy   of
worship in  the manner of idolaters who value technocratic
ideals as worthy of ultimate concern, adoration, and awe.

     The  integrative use of technologies depends upon the
lively presence of integrative ideals,  values, attitudes,
beliefs,   paradigms  and role models.   In their  absence
technologies are likely to become the focus of services of
worship/celebration led by  people  who  worship/celebrate
their  particular  forms  of technologies  as  appropriate
objects of worship/celebration; i.e., as idols.

     It  is not possible to worship technologies honestly;
---because they  cannot deliver the reflexive fulfillment,
satisfaction and meaning which is promised.   Technologies
are  the  fruits of objective and manipulative  paradigms.
The   fruits  of  such  paradigms  cannot  guarantee   the
achievement  of  reflexive  goals which  are  clearly  not
objective  in nature.   Through the use of technologies we
may achieve clearly  defined  objective  goals;   but  our
achievement of such goals is not  the same as enjoying the
reflexive fulfillment,  satisfaction and  meaning which is
