Collusions modify perceptions, hearing, and seeing; because collusions modify expectations. All too often: We perceive what we expect. We hear what we expect. We see what we expect. What we perceive, what we hear, and what we see depends greatly upon our collusions, addictions and co-dependencies. Our reporting of our perceptions, hearing and seeing may be as honest as we can make it: but we may be reporting dishonest perceptions, dishonest hearing and dishonest seeing. Dishonesty may originate in perception, hearing and seeing We are totally unaware of such dishonesty: it is not lying, for we are totally unaware of it. It is exceedingly difficult to become aware of our dishonesty if it is operating at the level of our perceptions, hearing and seeing. Yet it may properly be called dishonesty, because it is part of the dishonesty in our collusive games of mutual self deception, our addictions and our co-dependencies. To become aware of our most subtle dishonesty we need to actively seek to be in dialogue with people who are victims of quite different collusions, addictions and co-dependencies; or perhaps are people who are totally honest. To us they will appear to be strange, untrustworthy, crazy or otherwise unreliable; yet is is important to us for us to try to be in honest dialogue with them; for in such honest dialogue we may be able to discover the most subtle forms of dishonesty which victimize us in ways which we cannot perceive, cannot hear and cannot see---without dialogue between us and those people who are not victims of our most subtle forms of dishonesty.
