It is difficult to perceive, describe and communicate the subtle differences which exist between/among reflexive relationships without the concepts/words which that job requires. Without words which point clearly to the subtle differences among reflexive relationships it is difficult to deal with them clearly and helpfully. We who are compulsively committed to objectivity find it difficult to acknowledge the importance of reflexive relationships and to acknowledge the importance of realities which are the foci of reflexive relationships; for they are not objective in character, and can not be dealt with (with integrity) in an objective way. We are prone to pretend that reflexive realities and relationships are not real, or at least not important. It follows that we will not take the time to become familiar with the tools (much less sharpen them) which are needed for the job of dealing wisely in the domain of reflexive realities and relationships. If via collusion it is taboo to admit to the importance of reflexive realities and relationships, it follows that it must be taboo to deal with the tools needed to do a good job of dealing with reflexive realities and relationships. The result is that there will be embarrassment (justifying further avoidance) with regard to reflexive living. Without clear reflection upon what one has done and/or might do it is impossible to live wisely with integrity. It is important to find ways to clarify the differences between/among reflexive realities and relationships. We need to develop the concepts/words with which to clarify/communicate the subtle differences among reflexive relationships and realities---without attempting to objectify them to gain control over them. The objectification of reflexive realities and relationships is in large part a collusive process of mutual self deception; choosing to ignore that which can not be dealt with both objectively and with integrity.
